This course introduces attendees to the analytic and design tools of safe patient handling systems, and uses exercises to provide experience in applying the tools to safe patient handling team development, montitoring, and sustainability, over the system life cycle.
This three-day workshop covers three complementary frameworks for the success of safe patient handling programs, analysis and design of program plans.
The basic components of each are described and then demonstrated to illustrate how they can be applied to enhance the safe patient handling systems of a healthcare facility and how to integrate them within existing systems . Specifically designed exercises give attendee practical experience with the learned techniques and problem solving activities to effectively implement into unique healthcare programs.
